The 3-piece set includes a base (to be filled with water), a holder ring (for keeping the herbs in place) and a cover (to keep them clean & dust-free while storing them at the optimum vapor pressure and humidity). The Herb Saver is also ideal for storing asparagus. The whole set resembles a gardening container, which looks just great filled with herbs. Store fresh basil on the countertop. Most everything else is best stored in the refrigerator.
